Author of 240 scientific publications , responsible for the First release of genetically improved fish (catfish) in the United States. Gene Transfer Research recognized in the Congressional Record, 1988 Produced the first transgenic fish in the United States. Areas of research are genetic engineering , traditional selective breeding, genomics, xenogenesis and population genetics of fish.
